THE ZOO CONNECTION
The ZOO CONNECTION is a program designed to meet PIC's mission statement to provide educational programs that each and inspire students about the natural would around them. The ZOO CONNECTION is presented to students in Rwanda, the DRC and the United States.
RWANDA IS COMMITTED TO CONSERVATION
The government of Rwanda is committed to conservation and has set aside more than 8 percent of its land mass to create three national parks. PIC works with projects near two of the parks - Nyungwe National Park and Virunga National Park. In the DRC, PIC collaborates on programs adjacent to Kahuzi-Biega National Park. Each year PIC members spend six weeks in Africa and meet with all partner projects.
